WaveLength is available for hire year-round. This quartet of vocalists will provide music and entertainment for your next birthday party, family celebration, business gathering, or social event. WaveLength is also available to surprise someone special with a private show by Cape Cod a cappella singers performing classics in the traditional barbershop style.
David Anthony - Tenor
David has been a barbershopper since 2015. Over the years, he has sung with college, community, and church groups. David has lived on Cape Cod since 1999, and when not creating vocal harmony, he works at Barnstable Town Hall as the Property and Risk Manager. David received his Master’s Degree in American History from UMass Amherst, enjoys local history and cooking, and one day plans to finish the several novels he has started.
Stephen Colella - Lead
Stephen began singing a cappella in his college days with the Williams Octet. Since landing on Cape Cod in 1983, he has performed in more than 20 musical theatre productions from Falmouth to Brewster. Stephen has been twice awarded the Evelyn Lawson Award for Best Actor by the Association for Community Theatre Excellence. He has been a member of the Cape Cod Surftones since 2019, and by day, is a fundraiser for WCAI in Woods Hole.
Dick Monheimer - Baritone
Dick has been singing barbershop harmony since 1981. While singing with Racing City Chorus in Saratoga Springs, he joined his first quartet, Adamsville Flats. Having spent summers on Cape Cod, Dick moved to the Cape in 2005 (to the delight of his extended family) and joined the Cape Cod Surftones. He earned his PhD from Michigan State University and worked as a biologist, scientist, and educator at Wayne State University and Boston College.
Dan Anthony - Bass
Dan is an Assistant Director of the Cape Cod Surftones and Director of Instrumental Music at Nauset Regional High School. As a Barnstable High School grad, he earned his degree in Music Education from UMass Amherst where he was a trombonist in the Minuteman Marching Band. Dan also plays trumpet, tuba and piano, and has performed with First Encounter Jazz Ensemble, Cape Youth Orchestra, and Cape Cod Conservatory Jazz Ensemble.
